A VERY FINE AND EXTREMELY RARE ILLUSTRATED PACKET BOAT ADVERTISING COVER.

The James Battle was built in 1860 and ranked among the fastest steamboats of its time. It was captured by Union forces as a blockade-runner in November 1863.
