EXTREMELY FINE. THE ONLY RECORDED EXAMPLE OF THE HONOUR'S STAMP USED FROM AIKEN TO PREPAY THE CARRIER FEE IN CHARLESTON. AN EXTREMELY RARE CARRIER STAMP ON COVER AND ONE OF THE FINEST TIED EXAMPLES EXTANT.
The Honour's 4LB13 stamp is much rarer than is generally appreciated. Approximately 12-15 covers are known, but less than half of these have the stamp tied by a cancellation. This is the only 4LB13 cover postmarked outside Charleston -- we know of only two other Charleston carrier covers originating at other post offices (Raleigh N.C. and Clarksville Ga.).
With 1985 P.F. certificate.

VERY FINE APPEARANCE. ONLY SIX EXAMPLES OF THIS RARITY ARE KNOWN TO US.
Ex Perry.

A FINE-APPEARING EXAMPLE OF THIS EXCEEDINGLY RARE CARRIER STAMP. NO MORE THAN A DOZEN EXAMPLES OF 7LB14 ARE KNOWN TO US.
The Type C31 stamps were ordinarily left uncancelled; this probably was removed from a cover. The pencil line at bottom is a characteristic layout line.
