The Chapin census records two blocks of four with plate numbers. The second block has manuscript "X"'s, and is most likely a presentation proof which was not regularly issued. This block is therefore unique for the issued stamp.

Our Levi records of Scott 174 contain 32 examples, of which 21 - two-thirds of the recorded stamps - have perfs trimmed off on one or more sides. This stamp is among the best centered of the examples with complete perfs.

Very few examples of this and other double transfers on the 5c Taylor plates are known.

A FINE EXAMPLE OF THE EXTREMELY RARE TIENTSIN OVAL, OF WHICH FEWER THAN A DOZEN STRIKES ARE KNOWN.
The Tientsin oval was used as a transit marking on the backs of covers passing through the U.S. Postal Agency. Of the dozen or so examples known, only a few show the oval datestamp used to cancel the stamp at Tientsin.
A VERY FINE AND CHOICE EXAMPLE OF THE 90-CENT AMERICAN BANK NOTE COMPANY STAMP USED ON A SMALL COVER.
Virtually all other examples of the 90c Purple on cover are affixed to package fronts or large covers. This is believed to the only known example of this stamp on a small cover. With 1976 P.F. certificate
