Patterson who enclosed $20 for benefit of sick soldiers, tiny soiling specks at bottom edge mentioned only to emphasize Extremely Fine and fresh condition of this beautiful cover, backflaps intact (unusual for this correspondence), the building on this corner card was used as an emergency hospital for Confederate soldiers from the battlefields of Jonesboro, Griffin and Atlanta (it burned in 1865)
