D.C., Five Line Handstamp "First Day Cover//First Commonwealth Stamps//Sold In Reopened Post Offices//In the Liberated Philippines//November 8, 1944", nearly all show some evidence of tropical staining, mostly in margins, the Extremely Rare lp has some short perfs. at right, small cover tape stains on former, An Enormously Rare Pair of Covers, former Kessler guarantee, latter with Friedl Certificate, copy of 1946 letter form the Assistant Director of Posts in Manila giving how, why, when & where these stamps were made, former cover with return address of Major General Valdes (who authorized the issue)
