Sale 489, Lot 63, 1857-60 Issue3c Red, Ty. I (25). Very Fine, Tied by "New York, Feb. 28 (1857)" on First Day Cover. This is the earliest date possible for the regularly perforated stamps to have been used. One other stamp of this date has been reported but never verified, making this cover the only fully anthenticated First Day Cover Known. Very Fine, with P. F. Certificate, much scarcer than the 3c 1851 Imperforate First Day Cover. A marvelous historic cover
