Sale 468, Lot 19, 1851-56 Issue1c Blue, Ty. I, Ib, Combination Strip of Three, Positions 5-7R1E (5, 5A). Tied on March 13, 1852 Folded Letter by Bold Blue "Skaneatles, N. Y." pmks., Three Margins, top labels touched to partly cut in, few tiny creases & age toning spots. Signed "Ashbrook" who states that the types were "destroyed" by being "cut off" at top, which is not entirely true because this strip can easily be plated by the other characteristics. In any event, A Tremendously Rare Cover, Ranking High Among Nineteenth Century U. S. Rarities
