to Montreal, Canada, red “U. States” in arc handstamp with matching “20” and
“PAID” handstamps, transit and receiving backstamps, opened roughly at top which eliminates most of backflap and causes small nicks and a tear at top not affecting stamps, 1c and right 3c stamps lightly creased, otherwise Fine and scarce use of better types of the perforated 1c and 3c 1857 Issues on a double-rate cover to Canada
