VERY FINE APPEARING AND EXTREMELY RARE BANK NOTE ISSUE COVER TO THE PHILIPPINES VIA SINGAPORE.

This cover from the Peirce correspondence, sent by the 34c British mail rate via Brindisi, is one of only four Bank Note Issue covers to the Philippines recorded. It was carried on the NGL steamer Bremen I from New York on Mar. 9, 1872.
