Three entires mailed from the exposition, two with "Philadelphia Pa." postmarks Aug. 31 and Sep 1, third with "Centennial Philada. Pa." postmark dated Nov. 3, each with a typewritten address and Machinery Hall stationery "thinking of you" message, one with purple J.W. Bain typewriter merchant backstamp, couple minor edge tears and one with backflap tear, still a Very Fine trio, the typewriter was introduced at the 1876 Centennial Exposition and these are very early uses of a device that would soon become ubiquitous
