FRESH AND VERY FINE. AN EXTREMELY RARE EXAMPLE OF THE ONE-CENT BLUE STAR DIE WRAPPER ON ORANGE PAPER.

The UPSS Catalog reports fewer than ten of this rare Star Die wrapper exist. The "Scarsdale" Collection contained only a full corner and that is the only example in any format we have offered since a full-size example in our 2007 "Saddleback" collection.

Substantial collection of approximately 60 3c entires (U58 or U59) with fancy cancels, essentially all 1860s uses, extensive range with some better, including Putnam Conn. Anchor and Star, Stonington Conn.
