FINE-VERY FINE CENTERING. A RARE ASSEMBLAGE OF THE FIRST DARRAH OVERPRINTS.

The first overprints by John Darrah were applied using a rubber stamp. They were superseded by the typographed overprint. Very few complete sets are known.

Original gum, small h.r., centered to left, Fine, scarce, this is the only denomination of the Postage Dues overprinted with the Darrah overprint, which was available for about a month in the U.S. Post Office in Shanghai in Nov.-Dec. 1913
