3c Carmine Lake (J54). Bottom imprint, plate no. 5523 and star block of six, top stamps Mint N.H., bottom stamps lightly hinged, brilliant color which seems to pop off the paperFINE. A RARE PLATE BLOCK OF SIX OF THE 1914 3-CENT POSTAGE DUE ISSUE IN THE CARMINE LAKE SHADE. THIS IS THE SECOND PLATE BLOCK IN THIS SHADE WE HAVE OFFERED SINCE KEEPING COMPUTERIZED RECORDS.
This issue is rare in any block form -- we have offered only two plate blocks in the Dull Rose shade (Scott J54a, hinged), plus one other in this Carmine Lake shade -- since keeping computerized records.
