VERY FINE. A RARE COMMERCIAL REGISTERED USAGE WITH A HORIZONTAL PAIR OF THE 30-CENT 1888 AMERICAN BANK NOTE PRINTING.

The cover offered here, franked with 70c in postage, pays 12-times the 5c rate, for a total weight of 6 oz. Sent from a mining supply company, the cover probably contained a metal sample.

Letter-size covers with high-denomination Bank Note stamps should be considered rare. The example offered here, franked correctly to pay the prevailing rate on a letter-size cover, is a wonderful exhibition item.
