A review of our past auctions plus the records of the P.F. and P.S.E. demonstrates how rare this issue is in Mint N.H. condition. We have offered only three other singles, plus a block of nine with mixed centering. The P.F. has only certified a handful of singles stating Mint N.H.
With 1978 and 2009 P.F. certificates (VF 80)

We offered one other single, in our 2007 Odeneal sale (graded 90, realized $11,000 hammer), plus a block of nine with mixed centering. The P.F. has only certified two singles stating Mint N.H. -- this one and the Odeneal copy (plus four older certificates which state "it is genuine").

THIS IS THE FIRST MINT NEVER-HINGED SINGLE WE HAVE OFFERED SINCE KEEPING COMPUTERIZED RECORDS FOURTEEN YEARS AGO. A GREAT CONDITION RARITY
The only other Mint N.H. examples we have offered were in a block of nine with Fine-Very Fine centering. This is the first Mint N.H. single we have offered, and is far superior to any in the block.
With 1996 P.F. and 2007 P.S.E. certificates (XF 90; SMQ $9,700.00). This is the first and only Mint N.H. example certified by P.S.E., although the SMQ prices a 90 at $9,700 and 95 at $21,700 (on what basis we do not know).
