Unused, current certificate states "traces of gum and small stain at top left removed", this statement is based on the previous certificate this stamp received in 1996 (#302935 - which no longer accompanies), the amount is gum on the stamp is far more than "traces", as it cover well over half the stamp, full margins to just touching at rightFINE APPEARANCE. A RARE UNUSED EXAMPLE OF THE 1856 5-CENT RED BROWN.

The spacing between stamps was very narrow, leaving little margin for error when separating the stamps, which explains why so few examples are known with four margins.
