High Cataloguing Balance of an Old-Time Collection.
On Elbe pages in three binders, the collections was formed primarily in the 1960s and 1970s, the collection starts with some Postmasters' Provisionals and goes through the 1920s, plus there are some more modern errors, primarily an unused collection with a small number of used stamps and a few covers, multiples also augment the collection, many scarce and high cataloguing stamps throughout, for instance the 1851 Issue includes used No. 8, original-gum No. 8A, lightly cancelled No. 12, No. 13 strip of three on cover to Trieste, No. 14-16 se-tenant pair on piece, No. 17 unused single and used pair, later issues are similarly filled with scarcer items, particularly the 1861-67 Issues, which includes several unused grilled stamps, Bank Notes well-filled, Commemoratives just about complete including the Columbian and Trans-Mississippi sets, excellent run of Washington-Franklins, including better Bluish Papers and coils in singles and pairs, varieties sprinkled throughout, condition is mixed as expected on a collection formed in this period, however many original-gum Fine-Very Fine stamps will be found, some Mint N.H. as they are all housed in mounts, a valuable collection boasting an enormous catalogue value
