Balance of nine covers, five are Patriotic designs, flags include F12-5 and F10-3 stampless uses, cannon with CN-3 used with No. 1, Davis designs include JD-1B with No. 2 and JD-1C with No. 4, mixed condition with flaws to be expected but overall a Fine appearing and useful group, the other covers include 5c Stone 3 (4b) and 5c Stone 2 (4a) on homemade oatmeal cover, next two are stampless including Charleston S.C. with large bold "2" drop-letter rate handstamp, Jasper Tex. with large rimless woodcut type with manuscript rate, finally unused "The Sunny South, Our Country" slogan Patriotic cover, some minor thinning on back from prior mounting, still very rare even unused (only one is known used)

Treasury Dept., Engineers, C.S.A. imprint on U.S. star die entire with pair No. 7, others, two covers bearing No. 13, wallpaper cover, as stated the condition is very mixed with faults to be found throughout -- otherwise these would all be individual lots, Fine appearing and worthwhile group

(both under Union control), finally 1880's cover advertising Civil War pension services, mixed condition with some flaws to be found, overall a Fine and diverse group
