FRESH AND EXTREMLEY FINE. A RARE AND SUPERB ATLANTA GEORGIA POSTMASTER'S PROVISIONAL PINK ENTIRE WITH THE 11-STAR FLAG AND TENT PATRITOIC DESIGN.
Fewer than a dozen Patriotic covers are known with the Atlanta Postmaster's Provisional handstamp. Most we have seen have the hand-held flag design (F11-9). This is the only Tent design we have encountered.
Ex Matthies and acquired by the Kilbournes at the 1969 Siegel sale of her collection, which also included the "Angell" covers (Siegel Sale 353, lot 983)
