cover went via British mails in Hong Kong where it received a Hong Kong 2c
stamp which is tied by "Hong Kong DE 2 97" circular datestamp, Zurich arrival backstamp, cover missing back flap and with trivial light toning
FINE. AN INCREDIBLY RARE IMPERIAL CHINESE POST USE PAYING THE 2-CENT PRINTED MATTER RATE AND USED WITHIN THE FIRST YEAR OF ISSUE.
Covers bearing the printed matter rate are exceptionally scarce versus the normal 10 cents rate typically seen.
