Enormous Jumbo margins all around, dark shade and detailed impression, tied by perfect clear strike of "Floyd's Penny Post Chicago" double-oval handstamp, used with 3c Dull Red, Ty. III (26), tied by blue grid, matching "Chicago Ills. Mar. 25" double-circle datestamp on cover addressed in blue to Grafton Mass., lightly cleanedEXTREMELY FINE. AN ABSOLUTELY SUPERB COMBINATION COVER WITH THE FLOYD'S PENNY POST BLUE STAMP AND 3-CENT 1857 ISSUE.
To-the-mails uses of this stamp are much scarcer than locally-addressed covers. Floyd's Penny Post covers with the 3c 1857, rather than the 3c 1861, are also extremely rare.
