The following means are available for placing bids:
1) NEW PROSPECTIVE BIDDERS who are not known to the Siegel firm must submit the Registration Form with references by WEDNESDAY, SEPTEMBER 26, to give us sufficient time to contact references. Bidders will receive notification of successful registration no later than Tuesday, October 2. If you also wish to bid by phone or submit Absentee Bids, please submit your request or bids with the completed Registration Form.
Known clients who plan to attend the auction may complete the registration form at the sale venue or register for online bidding in the usual manner.
2) LIVE INTERNET BIDDING: Instructions for participating as a Live Internet Bidder are provided here. NEW PROSPECTIVE BIDDERS will be required to submit the Registration Form with references by WEDNESDAY, SEPTEMBER 26, to give us sufficient time to contact references.
Known clients must register to bid in the Gross sale. Please fill out the short form to register. Bids entered through Live Internet Bidding will be visible to the auctioneer during the sale.
3) PHONE BIDDING: If you are a NEW PROSPECTIVE BIDDER, please submit the Registration Form with your references and phone bidding request by WEDNESDAY, SEPTEMBER 26, to give us sufficient time to contact references.
Known clients who wish to phone bid in the auction must contact our office by MONDAY, OCTOBER 1, 5:30PM.
4) ABSENTEE BIDS: If you are a NEW PROSPECTIVE BIDDER, please submit the Registration Form with your references and Absentee Bids by WEDNESDAY, SEPTEMBER 26, to give us sufficient time to contact references.
Known clients who submit bids by mail, email or fax should ensure that bids are received by Siegel no later than WEDNESDAY, OCTOBER 3, 4:30PM. All bids received in advance of the sale, either by mail, fax, phone, email or internet, are Absentee Bids, which instruct the auctioneer to bid up to a specific amount on one or more lots in the sale. Written bids should be entered legibly on the Bid Form. Email and internet bids should be carefully typed and double-checked. We recommend calling or e-mailing to confirm that Absentee Bids sent by mail, fax or email have been received and entered.
Lots in the Gross sale may be viewed at our offices by appointment only. Please call 212-753-6421 to make an appointment.
Lots with a PF or PSE certificate dated on or after January 1, 2013, are sold subject to the opinion on the certificate and all such sales will be considered final. Lots with certificates dated prior to January 1, 2013, may be purchased subject to independent certification of genuineness and our description. Please refer to the Conditions of Sale and Grading Terms for policies governing certification. Any fault in an item is described in the Condition Notes section of each lot entry.
Buyers who request shipment of lots will be responsible for Siegel’s insurance costs and all costs of shipping necessary to satisfy all security requirements.
Buyers are responsible for any applicable state sales tax, compensating use tax or customs duty assessed at any time.
The auctioneer may regulate the bidding at his discretion. To assist absentee bidders in establishing their maximum bids, the increments shown at right will be used in most cases. We recommend that written bids conform to these increments. Bids that do not will be reduced accordingly. Final “Split Increment” bids may only be made by bidders attending the auction.
