Very Fine and fresh cover, the "Paid" marking was struck in red only early

Quadruplets", comprising a series of markings, beginning with an

circular datestamps in black (Jan. 17) and bright green (Aug. 17),
and ending with a huge brownish-red "Belvidere N.Y. Dec. 24" cds, all
perfect strikes, minor cover wrinkles, stamps generally Fine, an
incomparable "set" of covers showing the evolution of one town's postmark |
