EXTREMELY FINE. ONE OF THE FINEST EXAMPLES OF THE TWELVE 10-CENT BLACK ON PINK BEAUMONT PROVISIONALS RECORDED IN OUR CENSUS. REMARKABLY, THE ONLY EXAMPLE KNOWN OFF COVER.

Our census notes eleven examples on cover, and this example off cover (no unused copies are known). Most of the eleven stamps on covers are faulty, which leaves this stamp as one of the finest extant. (Image)

VERY FINE. ONE OF FOUR RECORDED EXAMPLES OF THE CHAPEL HILL PROVISIONAL, THREE OF WHICH ARE ON PATRIOTIC COVERS. THIS IS BELIEVED TO BE THE ONLY TURNED USAGE AMONG THEM.
