VERY FINE AND CHOICE MINT NEVER-HINGED EXAMPLE OF THE 30-CENT 1860 ISSUE.

Although some sheets of the 24c, 30c and 90c 1857-60 Issue remained in Southern post offices after their demonetization during the Civil War, Mint Never-Hinged examples of the 30c are extremely rare, particularly in any higher grade.
