While this issue regularly appears at auction in superb original-gum condition, it is rarely offered in superb Mint Never-Hinged condition.

Unlike its 1873 Brown and 1879 American counterparts, the 2c Vermilion 1875 Issue is very scarce in Mint Never Hinged state.

marginsEXTREMELY FINE. A BREATHTAKING MINT NEVER-HINGED 1875 5-CENT TAYLOR PRINTED BY CONTINENTAL BANK NOTE COMPANY. A TRUE CONDITION RARITY IN THE FINEST ATTAINABLE CONDITION.
Although large multiples of the 5c Taylor American printing on soft paper (Scott 185) have provided Mint Never Hinged singles, the 1875 Continental is very scarce in Mint Never Hinged condition and rare in this grade.
