cover to Bremen, Germany, blue "Baltimore Md. Jul. 11" origin
datestamp, sender's routing "Via New York pr Steamer Hermann",
receipt docketing on back with 1856 year date, light file folds well clear
of stamp, Very Fine, unusual Type I usage for the 10c American Packet rate
to Bremen with the rare 1c credit datestamp used to cancel the stamp -- the
Ocean Line's Hermann left New York City on Jul. 12, 1856, arriving
in Bremerhaven on Jul. 28 -- ex Hollowbush, with 1983 P.F. certificate (Image)
