lightly hinged at top, large margins all around, deep rich color, tiny thin
speck at top rightVERY FINE APPEARANCE. A RARE ORIGINAL-GUM BLOCK OF NINE OF THE ONE-CENT EXPRESS IMPERFORATE ISSUE. THIS IS THE LARGEST UNUSED MULTIPLE OF THIS ISSUE. According to the most recent census information, available at www.thecurtiscollection.com, this and one other unused block of nine are the largest unused multiples.
