EXTREMELY FINE. AN EXCEEDINGLY RARE EXAMPLE OF THE ONE-CENT BLUE STAR DIE WRAPPER ON HORIZONTALLY LAID PAPER. VERY FEW ARE KNOWN.

At the time of the Barkhausen sale it was stated that probably less than a dozen examples on any paper variety (wove, horizontally or vertically laid) were known.

VERY FINE APPEARANCE. THE 2-CENT BROWN ON BLUE WITH ROUND "O" IN "TWO" IS ONE OF THE RAREST OF ALL POSTAL STATIONERY ISSUES. NONE ARE KNOWN UNUSED AND ONLY A HANDFUL ARE KNOWN USED.

The last example to be offered at auction sold for $19,000 in the Floyd sale, where it was described as one of four known used cut squares (one used entire is also known). The example offered here was not included in their census.
