(3LB1). Unused (no gum), large margins, unusually fresh with only a
hint of typical gum toning in one small spot (not noted on certificate),
Extremely Fine Gem, truly rare in this condition -- the printing and paper
of this issue are virtually identical to the famous Hawaiian
"Missionaries", which were produced in the same period, probably from the
same stock material used by New England printers -- ex Golden, with 1999

(3LB1). Margins mostly clear all around, used with two 5c Brown
(1), each has large margins to just touched at one point, all tied by
multiple strikes of red circular grids, matching "Boston 10 cts 2 May"
(1849) integral-rate circular datestamp on cover to Milwaukee Wis.,
negligible wrinkles around edges, carrier stamp and one 5c slightly
overlapping edge, causing tiny corner creasesVERY FINE AND BEAUTIFUL. THE ONLY RECORDED 10-CENT RATE COVER WITH THE BOSTON CARRIER STAMP AND 1847 ISSUE. The Meyersburg census records 23 covers with Scott 3LB1 and the 1847 Issue (only known with 5c stamp), of which this is the only combination with two 5c stamps.
