3c Small Queens (38, 41). Collection of 1,660 used stamps formed by
an employee of Stanley Gibbons Ltd. in the 1950's and 60's, mostly singles
with few pairs and strips, wide variety of cancels and shades, arranged on
stockcards, over 40 identified by town, cancels incl. "Prepaid by
Publisher", circular datestamps, corks, circles of wedges, circles of V's,
grids, crossroads and other geometrics, targets with numerals, one with
green cork and about 260 "Canada" in flags, also incl. copy of
Robson Lowe article on the issue and a small book with the employee's
hand-drawn examples of 425 postmarks found on the issue with their towns of
origin and prices, few with faults but most are sound and Fine-Very Fine |
