VERY FINE. AN EXCEEDINGLY RARE COMPLETE BOOKLET OF THE 3-CENT LINCOLN, SCOTT 102a. ONLY TWO INTACT BOOKLETS ARE KNOWN, AND ONLY SIX PANES IN TOTAL ARE RECORDED.

According to Canal Zone Stamps, the 3c Lincoln was in production for only a short period of time before the switch was made to the 3c Washington stamp. Only one intact booklet and four panes are reported by the authors, the booklet offered here was apparently unknown to them.

FINE. THE UNIQUE "ZONE" ONLY OVERPRINT ERROR ON THE 3-CENT 1933 ROTARY PRESS PRINTING ISSUE.

According to Canal Zone Stamps, the error was created by a foldover. Some perforations at top became separated, causing the one stamp to fold over. It was apparently noticed and marked for destruction in blue crayon, but was never destroyed. The blue crayon has been lightened, partly affecting the color of the error stamp.
