EXTREMELY FINE GEM STRIP. THE 2-CENT "RED JACK" USED TO PAY THE 10-CENT RATE IS ONE OF THE KEYS OF CONFEDERATE PHILATELY. THIS MAGNIFICENT STRIP RANKS AMONG THE FINEST EXTANT.

Despite the significant number of 2c Red strips on cover sold by this firm over 70 years, only a handful have been sound with full margins all around. A sound strip with margins of the dimensions seen here exists on probably no more than five covers. Ex Hall (Image)
