centering, deep rich color, tied by grids on 1862 folded letter to
Cadiz, Spain, red "N. York Br. Pkt. Paid Jun. 24" circular datestamp,
blue "12rs" due marking, light file fold well away from stamps, one 5c
nibbed perfs, Very Fine and choice usage paying double the 5c rate via
British Open Mail, with 1987 P.F. certificate

pre-use tear, 3c with color badly faded, paper with couple erosion holes
and light toning and small tear at left (both clear of music), still a very
rare and exhibit-worthy usage (Image) |

datestamp on cover originating in Vancouver Island and sent to New
Brunswick, blue oval "Post Office, Paid, Victoria Vancouver
Island" handstamp, Extremely Fine, ex Knapp and Kutz, an exceptional
usage of a cover sent from a Canadian address to a Canadian address thru
San Francisco and franked only with a U.S. stamp

Nerepis N.B. backstamps, cover with small faults incl. couple repairs,
otherwise Fine, only two recorded examples of this franking to New
