Orleans La. Apr. 29, 1858" circular datestamp on folded letter to
Nantes, France, Garnier correspondence, red "New York Paid 12 May 8"
credit datestamp, French transits and red framed "P.D.", light horizontal
file fold barely affects two 5c stamps, otherwise Very Fine, scarce

datestamp on blue folded cover from St. Johns, Newfoundland, to Halifax,
Nova Scotia, neat "5" due handstamp, original ship routing "via
Jamaica" crossed out, endorsed "Pr 'Europa' via Boston", red
"Forwarded by J.V. Onativia & Co. New-York" two-line backstamp with ms.
Aug. 20, 1861 date, docketing indicates St. Johns origin date of Jul. 30,
1861, light vertical file fold does not affect stamp, slightly reduced at
left, Very Fine and choice, a most unusual routing, ex Kapiloff, with 1985
