Original gum, single hinge mark at top left, clear grill points, fresh and
bright color, choice centering with perforations clear of design all
aroundEXTREMELY FINE GEM. A SUPERB LIGHTLY-HINGED EXAMPLE OF THE 1868 5-CENT F GRILL. A DIFFICULT STAMP TO FIND IN SUCH PRISTINE CONDITION AND WITH SUCH SUPERB CENTERING.
The spacing on the 5c plate was quite narrow. Thus, centered copies are scarce, and in original-gum condition they are rare.

Original gum, lightly hinged, clearly-defined grill points, perfectly
centered with large and even margins all around, intense shade and
impressionEXTREMELY FINE GEM. A SUPERB ORIGINAL-GUM EXAMPLE OF THE 1868 12-CENT F GRILL.
This stamp has remarkably wide margins, unusual freshness, lightly hinged original gum, a clear grill and perfect centering. As such, it ranks among the finest 12c F Grill stamps extant.

Grill (101 var). Grill split vertically, perfectly centered with
well-balanced margins, deep rich color, grill points easily recognizable
from front of stamp, bold cork cancelEXTREMELY FINE GEM. A SUPERB EXAMPLE OF THE 90-CENT F GRILL SHOWING THE SPLIT GRILL VARIETY.
The 90c F Grill is an extremely difficult stamp to find with such perfect centering. This is probably the finest Split Grill variety in existence.
