VERY FINE. ONE OF THE RAREST AND MOST SPECTACULAR CONFEDERATE GENERAL ISSUE PRINTING VARIETIES. ONLY A FEW EXAMPLES KNOWN.

We know of two vertical pairs containing one variety each, a horizontal pair (both the variety), and three singles, for a total of seven examples. All seven stamps originated from the same part of the sheet, which received a second lighter impression known as a "kiss print".
