"2.16" with ms. "Philada. 20 1st mo. 1784 Recd under cover and forwarded
as done by thy respectful Friends, James & Drinker", also ms. "John
Rouse paid the post 1/2 for this letter", other with "OC/4" in circle,
received Apr. 18, 1784, rated "14.16" and "2N" with ms. "John Rouse paid

"Phila. 17 Oct." octagonal double-line frame on incoming folded ship cover
to Petersburg Va., 1834 docketing on back indicates origination at St.
Thomas D.W.I., ms. "20-3/4" rate pays 18-3/4c rate plus 2c ship fee,
light file fold well clear of markings, Very Fine and choice strike of this
