VERY FINE. AN OUTSTANDING ITEM CARRIED ABOARD CHARLES LINDBERGH'S HISTORIC AND RECORD-BREAKING FLIGHT OF THE SPIRIT OF ST. LOUIS FROM NEW YORK TO PARIS.

The "We" in the note refers to himself and the Spirit of St. Louis. This also became the title for his book.

From the Joseph T. Hartson collection of Air Mail covers. Mr. Hartson was a sales manager at Wright Aeronautics and a frequent correspondent of Charles Lindbergh's. The Siegel firm sold a cover and letter addressed to Hartson carried on the same historic flight in our Sale 837 (lot 365) for $110,000 hammer. (Image)
