Well-centered, tied by circle of wedges on unsealed illustrated Vermont Adjutant General's corner card cover to Brookfield Vt., with original printed circular enclosure dated April 20, 1865, discussing rules of military service (small scotch tape mark on enclosure), Extremely Fine and choice, a superb usage of the 2c Black Jack correctly paying the circular rate (Image) E. 150-200

Horizontal strip of five, extraordinarily choice centering, tied by lightly struck New York duplex datestamp with circle of wedges on 1867 cover to Ontario, Canada, Aug. 26 receiving backstamps, neat docketing at left, Extremely Fine, very few 10c rate covers are known with intact strips of the Black Jack, this is certainly one of the finest, ex de Wasserman and Klein (Image) E. 1,000-1,500
