Two singles, used with horizontal pair of 3c Rose (65), cancelled by circle of wedges on red and blue Wreath Patriotic cover to Paris, France, from the Angell correspondence, one 12c stamp tied by 1864 French transit, red "Boston Paid 24 Jan. 26" credit datestamp, clearly-struck boxed "P.D.", receiving backstamp

EXTREMELY FINE. A PARTICULARLY CHOICE COVER FROM THE ANGELL CORRESPONDENCE WITH AN EXCEEDINGLY SCARCE DESIGN.

Oct. 14" circular datestamp on blue 1866 folded letter to Barcelona, Spain, well-struck "Paid-Only/to England" handstamp, light strike of New York Am. Pkt. transit datetamp, London and receiving backstamps, blue "4Rs" due marking, light file fold at top away from stamps, Very Fine and choice usage overpaying the 21c rate to the Spanish border by 1c, ex Haas (Image) E. 500-750
2282 c image12c Black (69). Used with 3c Rose (65), tied by neat strike of "Salem Mass. Feb. 7" circular datestamp on cover to Vienna, Austria, also bearing two perfect strikes of "Portland Me Am. Pkt. 23 Feb. 8" debit datestamp, 1862 receipt docketing at left, 15c postage affixed apparently for the Bremen-Hamburg rate and treated as completely unpaid, blue manuscript due marking, carried aboard the Allan Line's Anglo-Saxon, transit and receiving backstamps struck in red, slightly reduced at right, Very Fine and unusual usage (Image) E. 400-500
