receiving backstampVERY FINE. A RARE COMBINATION USAGE OF UNITED STATES AND CANADA STAMPS ON CROSS-BORDER MAIL. PARTICULARLY NOTABLE FOR ITS PRISTINE CONDITION. The Canadian stamp was applied in the U.S., but its function is unclear, considering that the U.S.-Canada postal treaty assured delivery with 10c prepayment. (Image) |

Letter Office I have affixed the requisite stamps.", receipt docketing, two
vertical file folds away from stamp, Very Fine and unusual usage, the cover
left Savannah apparently without postage, was sent to New York where
postage was affixed, then sent to its destination, accompanied by
American Philatelist article discussing the cover and a 1989 letter
