Apr. 25, 1859" circular datestamp on orange cover to Denmark, red
"New-York Am. Pkt. Apr. 30" and receiving backstamps, boxed "Aachen Franco"
handstamp and red "12" credit, one 1c stamp affixed over top edge of cover
(cover refolded at top to show full stamp), top 10c stamp slightly rounded
cornerVERY FINE. AN EXTRAORDINARY COVER BEARING AN 1857 10-CENT STRIP CONTAINING TWO RECUT POSITIONS AND TYPE I FROM THE BOTTOM ROW. There is only one sequence of positions on the 10c plate that can produce a Type IV/I combination -- 86/96L -- and multiples containing these positions are extremely rare.
