well-centered with wide margins all around, scissors-separated as almost
always but leaving virtually full perforations all aroundEXTREMELY FINE GEM. THE COMBINATION OF VIRTUALLY PERFECT CENTERING AND FULL PERFORATIONS MAKES THIS PERHAPS THE FINEST EXAMPLE CONTAINED IN OUR RECORDS. A MERE 40 EXAMPLES OF THE 30-CENT CONTINENTAL HARD-PAPER SPECIAL PRINTINGS ARE BELIEVED TO EXIST.
Many examples of the Continental Bank Note special printings were separated by scissors, and so are often found with perforations partly missing or entirely trimmed away. The stamp offered here, with perforations virtually all the way around, is a remarkable exception.
