If this stamp did not have the nearly-invisible corner crease and minute margin tear noted on the accompanying certificate, it would rank among the finest 2c Z Grill stamps in existence, with a value of $15,000 to $20,000. Excluding the supremely rare grilled stamps -- 5c and 30c A Grill, 3c B Grill, 1c, 10c and 15c Z Grills -- the 3c Z Grill is the rarest of the regularly-produced grilled issues. Examples of the 3c Z Grill with original gum are usually far off center and faulty. This stamp has unusually choice centering, and the crease at bottom, which creates a few tiny pinpoint breaks in the grill, does not affect the appearance to any significant degree.
