EXTREMELY FINE GEM. THE 15-CENT 1866 ISSUE IS NOTORIOUS FOR ITS USUAL NARROW MARGINS AND POOR CENTERING. THIS SUPERB USED EXAMPLE IS TRULY RARE.

The shape of the perforations is typical of 1861-66 Issues perforated in 1866 and 1867, including sheets that were grilled in late 1867 and early 1868. (Image)
