2-1/2p Boer Occupation (N1-N4, SG 1-4). All have rich color, each tied
by "Vryburg 25 NO 99" circular datestamp on small piece, back of piece is
signed "I the undersigned certify these stamps genuine" and dated
the same day as the postmarks and signed by the acting Postmaster, fresh
and Very Fine, with 1988 R.P.S. certificate, SG £1,105 as four used
stamps, Scott Retail as four used stamps

and single of 1p. two singles of 2p on 3p, cancelled or tied by violet oval
"Vryheid 18 Aug. 87" handstamps on registered cover to Bortdeaux,
France, also bearing New Republic 2p on Granite Paper (20),
similarly tied, Londona nd French transits, six backstamps all from 1888,
piece out of back, few faults incl. piece out of corner of one stamp,
otherwise Fine-Very Fine, a scarce and fascinating usage, described in an
