Natural s.e. at top, used with 3c Purple (302, two singles) and tied by "New York Dec. 4, 1908" duplex cancels on New York Hop Merchants corner card cover to Bavaria, Germany, cover with light edgewear and part of bottom flap missing, otherwise Fine, with 1999 A.P.S. certificate stating this is the earliest known usage, however, a domestic cover with a Dec. 3, 1908 datestamp is currently being expertized by the A.P.S. -- regardless of the outcome, this will remain the earliest known usage to a foreign destination (Image) E. 1,500-2,000 900.00
