Jan. 11 Rec'd" circular datestamp, receiving backstamp, Very Fine, one cannot help wondering if this mortician limited his attempts to use parts of things to stamps only, with 1971 P.F. certificate (Image) $ 2,200
648 c 2c Red Brown (210). Group of covers, range of markings and usages, few better incl. seven singles used with 1c and 5c on back of registered cover to Austria, strip of five to Austria, vertical pair and bisect to pay 5c rate to Belgium, few faults, many are Fine-Very Fine $ 450

Horizontal pair and single, used with ten 2c 1890, 30c stamps toned, one 2c partly torn off, tied by New York duplexes on July 1894 large cover to Germany, torn along top, folds clear of 30c stamps, worthy of restoration as this is one of the largest known 30c 1890 frankings -- a stamp that is exceedingly scarce on cover in any form and very rare commercially used $ 300
650 c 30c Columbian (239). Extremely Fine single, tied by New York registry oval on light green cover addressed to Germany, New York 12-12 1893 registry oval at center, Very Fine and choice $ 260
651 c 5c Chocolate (270). Well-centered, tied by "Pasadena Cal. Dec. 30, 1896" duplex datestamp on cover to Pretoria, South Africa, forwarded to Lourenco Marques, Mozambique and again forwarded to Zanzibar, four different backstamps and Z.A.R. circular datestamp, slightly reduced at L., Extremely Fine $ 105

Nine large covers to Port of Spain, Trinidad, 1901 usages, includes 1c on Division of Statistics official imprint cover (toned), 5c & 10c multiples and combinations incl. one with "Amsterd. W.Indies Nederl. Paketboot" oval, one with two 15c stamps, also includes two fronts to Uruguay with 50c & 10c 1902 and two 15c 1902 frankings, Fine and unusual group $ 325
