Positions 3-4R1L, L. stamp recut twice at B., right stamp Type II, large margins to just barely in, "tied" by toning from gum at T. of stamps, cancelled by grids on folded cover to Genova, Italy, blue "Printed Circular per Steamer" hs, ms. rating crossed out and re-rated to "17" decimes due, May 13, 1855 receiving backstamp, some wear in address panel from ink erosion, stamps with small creases from placement at edge of cover, still Fine-Very Fine, an extremely rare pair of types IV and II used to pay the printed circular rate to Italy, Pos. 4R1L was the only position on the plate which was not recut $ 750

Jul. 9" circular datestamp on cover from Leichlinbridge, England to Natchez then forwarded to Baltimore, bold "Br. Packet Boston 25 Jun. 24" integral-rate datestamp and blue Leichlinbridge datestamp, "19 Cents" debit at R. with "19" crossed out and ms. "paid" written above and at L., small faults, appears Fine $ 260
465 c 3c Dull Red (11). Tied by "New-York Jul. 21, 1853" cds on blue folded letter to Newport R.I., Extremely Fine, this scarce 1853 year-dated circular datestamp has only been seen between July 11 and July 26 $ 210
